The “Bird, Simple or Fancy” die has three separate shapes: a bird, a 3-plumed wing, and an intricate swirl tail. These elements can be combined in a variety of ways to create a variety of birds, from basic birds to very fancy birds. These shapes can also be combined with either FE-03A (Plume Family die) or FE-02A (Small Feather die) to create very fancy bird designs. The die itself measures approximately 7 1/2 inches x 6 inches and is compatible with the AccuQuilt GO!® and AccuQuilt® GO! Baby™ Fabric Cutters.*
Please see the accompanying patterns by Patsy Thompson Designs that use this die in quilt designs. Although the die was developed for use in cutting fabric bonded to fusible web to create fusible applique designs, this die can also cut woven and non-woven wools, felt, paper, cardstock, and even lightweight metals.
